I hate coming home.

One day I'm not going to!

But that wasn't today.

There are a lot of Hollyoaks people at EMA.

That is all.

I'm going missing

for a while

(These days, I am solely responsible for Britain's air-travel-related CO2 emissions.

I'm offsetting this by being vegan.

And by smiling more.)

The tuck-shop is out of bounds to all but the Upper Sixth (and Pongo from the Lower Fourth)

You may write on both sides of the paper.

Q1) The Germans :
i. are so pleased about my birthday that they hold a five-day nationwide festival for it every year.
ii. took down all the street signs during the war and never replaced them, making it impossible for even celebrated foreigners to easily navigate their country.
iii. are unbelievably polite to and patient with people who haven't spoken a word of German since 1997.

Q2) Monday was:
i. the worst day.
ii. totally inappropriate.
iii. lacking sufficient cake, although back on-target for Annual Malteaser Consumption Quota.

Q3) I have bought:
i. a new camera!
ii. lots of German doughnuts.

Homework:
What do the following words have in common: almost, biopsy, chintz?

Extra credit:
I have got a spare ticket to see We Are Scientists on Sunday and none of the usual suspects can go! Does anyone think they deserve it? I promise not to make you feel like second-best!

I have to go out for lunch

but I can't have a shower or wash my hair because I had to throw away all my liquids at the airport!

Oh when will travel-sweat be chic and worldly.

edit: photos are on Flickr, as usual. There might be some words to follow, I don't know yet!

lay your sleeping head, my love, / Human on my faithless arm

I've got writers' block! This is weird.

In twelve hours I will be in Germany.

Happy Valentine's Day the rest of you, too. You deserve it (probably).
